  1. The Lumbini Garden

Marked by a stone pillar erected by the Indian Emperor Ashoka around 245 B.C., this site signifies the exact birthplace of Buddha. It is one of the most important discoveries in the area.

2. Mayadevi Temple

Dedicated to Maya Devi, the mother of Lord Buddha, this temple features numerous sculptures and carvings. Excavated a few years ago, it showcases figures and designs slightly projecting from their backgrounds.

3. Pushkarni Pond

This pond is where Maya Devi is believed to have bathed before giving birth to Buddha.

4. Ramagram

Thought to be Buddha’s maternal home, Ramagram houses the largest stupa containing significant relics, believed to have been constructed around 600 B.C.

    Built with contributions from Burmese Buddhists, this monastery is a striking white structure with a golden pinnacle soaring into the sky.

    A beautiful pagoda-style temple featuring numerous prayer and meditation cells.

  • Korean Temple
    This temple is adorned with remarkable images of Buddha and is set in a tranquil environment.
